A Truly Madly Ordinary Announcement

Starting from the last post that was quite a long ago, that so desired lazy Sunday never arrived but, thanks to the travelling husband falling suddenly the victim of man flu I have been quick to take his place at the pub to the rugby. Am I mad fun? No, but it is one of the few sports I like to watch on tv, plus it was my excuse to leave the house. It was not that hot bath with candles, kindle and wine I had planned but that, it would not have happened anyway because someone decided to have it before me and all the hot water was gone.
Big ears german managed to snatch two of his three stitches but survived, and he is now back to his bold self. Once he was done with the vet, daughter number two had to be brought back and forth to the dentist because she broke her braces and in the meanwhile, the foster dog was neutered. I would feel very sorry looking at these creatures so harmless and weak after that big dose of anaesthetic but, this time, it came just at as a blessing and allowed me to have nearly 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep like I was the one under anaesthetic. My lovely Charlotte, in fact, turned out to be a night owl and every night between midnight and one o’clock in the morning, she gets lively. I had not a full night sleep in three weeks now.
Things are gradually going better now, and we established a sort of routine. When she wakes up, I bring her downstairs (or else she will try to wake up everybody else in the house, no matter if with four or two legs), we play a little bit, and then I locke her in the kitchen for the rest of the night.
It might sound cruel, but she is fine and not having anybody around to hassle she sleeps too. For once she also has all the couch for herself and can eventually stretch her long legs without worrying to kick Kurt on the other end of the sofa.
So yes, it has been a couple of busy weeks, but in all this, I am glad to inform you, and here it comes my announcement, that I managed to get my first book out there.
Now please show your loyalty and start buying it and reviewing it and……of course, you are allowed to lie about it!!!!!!!

  3. I have a confession to make. Ever since I’ve been plagued by epilepsy I have not had the attention span to read a book. That’s why tend to stick with blog posts. My brain is just too distracted for anything longer. However, I am thrilled for you and just bought a copy. Maybe someday I’ll be able to get through more than a page or two before my mind drifts away for a while. In the meantime, I want to support my good friend. Congratulations!!!

  6. So your name is Sabrina? I see. You have the same name as this Italian pop singer from the ’80s — Sabrina Salerno. If the name doesn’t ring a bell, her hit song “Boys (Summertime Love)” might be familiar. 🙂

    Sounds like the name for an author of steamy and erotic historical romance novels which have pictures of shirtless pirates and ravishing (and ravished) maidens on the cover.

  29. I just looked at your author page.

    I didn’t know you had a degree in History and Philosophy.

    I started out in University as a History Major and Philosophy Minor but after 2 years, most of the History professors at the University of Alberta had done their best to make History dryer than the Sahara desert and dustier than a Trump living room devoid of cheap immigrant labour.

    So in my third year, I switched to being a Philosophy Major and History Minor.

    But in that third year after history professors did their best to make History more boring than former U.S. Vice-President Al “Talk In A Monotone” Gore reading aloud Herman Melville’s Moby Dick (The Expanded Version), in my fourth and final year, I finally switched to being a Philosophy Major and English Literature Minor.

Lol,what a rollecoster.i started with law and I thought I would have never survived the boredom.the way university was in Italy at the time you picked a acuity with a subject and that was it, not major or minor but I really enjoyed my studies and thanks dissertation was about psychology of religions .Now you know why I so enjoy ur posts😉🤓💗

      1. I had gone into an Arts degree with an intention to going into law school.

        But after talking to Law students and found out how boring it was to study, I opted to go into a Master’s Program in Philosophy.

        But after a bureaucratic mix up involving the Grad Studies Department, I never did get into the Master’s Program.

        I had planned to write my Master’s Thesis On Carl Jung’s Theory of the Collective Unconscious and Its Relationship To Mythology and Religion.

        So that’s actually pretty close to your subject of Psychology of Religions.
